This is the note I got from Fawzia in Nov 2011 via Angela and Dori when they visited me in China. When I read through the lines, I felt very touched because someone was genuinely interested in what I am doing in China. Fawzia read all newsletters that I sent home. She wrote that she was glad that our “Paths crossed.” I feel the same that we can meet each other in God’s time. What a blessing to me to know her as a special friend, a dear sister in God’s family even though we don’t know each other for a long time. Time is not a matter when true friendship developed.
I knew Fawzia at Alpha Course. She came with Mark and Isabella Taylor. She came with a seeking heart and she finally found Jesus as her Lord and Savior and became a precious daughter of God. Though we were not sitting at the same table, we could share what we had learned when Mark gave me a ride to Choi Hung MTR Station after the meeting. During the journey home, we always shared our views about the topic of the night or things about Christianity. Time passed very quickly, we could never finished our conversation and I had to get off the car. I cherished the time we have been together. When the Alpha Course was completed, Fawzia also had her new identity – a born again Christian. Since then we met very often at Church. Every time I saw her she always wore a big smile. I am sure inside her heart, she was bubbling with joy of her new found faith in Jesus and it showed outwardly.
God also enriched her life and made her a blessing to people around her. I am sure people around her will concur with me and sense her cheerful spirit. She had lived a meaningfully and significant life for the Lord and now is with the Lord. Though I couldn’t see her on earth I am sure one day we will meet in heaven. I am confident that Fawzia is now watching over me and praying for me in heaven. What a great encouragement and comfort to me! I love you Fawzia and miss you.
