From Huma Ahmar in Sydney

I am so glad that I got to meet Fawzia, for she enriched my life with her sweetness and caring. I will never forget the love, and the support she provided me during one of the bleakest moments in my life. We met in Sydney in 2006, when my mum was battling cancer in Pakistan. I was desperate to get to Pakistan and the visa wasn’t coming through for my little one. Fauzia kept in touch with me and helped keep my spirits up during the ordeal.

We met again in Hong Kong and she showed us the affection that a family member would. The kids loved her and I felt that I had found a wonderful friend in her. I remember her bringing us pizza, carried all the way from the shop near her work on the crowded train, cooking us the delicious dinner at her place and going shopping with her that last time we metJ I will cherish all these and a lot more happy memories of her.

Fawzia, was a wonderful person and will be much missed. I’ll always remember her love, care, kindness and that radiant, beautiful smile of hers! May she rest in peace!
